Every student in college needs a computer to succeed. Research shows that access to technology and computer literacy are important factors not only for educational outcomes, but for a successful transition to adulthood. Together with Los Angeles County’s Department of Child and Family Services and iFoster.org, Foster Care Counts is donating laptops to college-bound foster youth. Join us as we work toward our goal of providing every college student from foster care with their own laptop!
For as little as a $225 donation, you can provide a laptop to a Los Angeles County foster youth planning to attend or already enrolled in college. A $450 donation provides two laptops, a $600 donation will provide three laptops, and $1500 will provide laptops to eight deserving foster youth. Each refurbished laptop comes with the full Microsoft Office Suite, ongoing live tech support, and access to online computer and Internet skills training.
